About Us
Welcome to New Start Health and Education Services, a family-managed non-profit organization founded in the year 2000 by Drs. Norman and Lorraine Stiggers. Our journey began with a deep-seated commitment to addressing thepressing needs of our community, particularly in the realms of youth activities, education, and direction.
Dr. Lorraine Stiggers, inspired by a vision of empowerment, initiated the transformative program "She's a Lady." This program became a cornerstone for the establishment of our non-profit, focusing on imparting essential life skills to young girls. "She's a Lady" encompasses teachings on self-esteem, money management, proper etiquette, and holistic body and mind care. Over the years, this program has reached multiple states, impacting different schools and cities with its empowering message.
As the scope of our mission expanded, so did our services. What started as a program grew into a comprehensive range of initiatives, including a food pantry service, clothing drives, health and education seminars, and classes. The funds we raise are strategically invested in the daily maintenance of our facility and the essential tools required for our operations.
Looking toward the future, we envision a community-oriented campus that will serve as a hub for growth and development. Our plans include the establishment of technical classes and trainings, STEM programs for children, a gaming facility, gymnasium, pool, skating rink, and a community garden. Additionally, an employment center will be created to facilitate job opportunities within the community.
On our future campus, we aim to provide holistic support through health check-ups, a food pantry, a financial assistance center, and a holiday center. These services are designed to foster a sense of community and equip individuals with the tools they need to achieve success.
